Everyone's fitness journey had to start somewhere, and mine started at the age of 16 when I picked up my first dumbbell!
I grew up playing various sports, but never really found my niche until I discovered strength training.
I started buying fitness magazines and became obsessed with these strong, fit woman gracing the covers and I was determined to be STRONG like that! I began following exercises from these magazines and started watching men and women lift in the gym. That's when I started my strength training journey. The more time I spent training, the more confident I became and when I started to see physical changes, I was immediately hooked!
Fitness became my hobby and my sport. Little did I know, that it would lead to a lifelong fulfilling career in the health and wellness space.
After graduating from North Carolina State University and becoming a certified personal trainer, I started training full time, competed in tri-fitness competitions, got married, had kids and opened a successful fitness studio with my husband. I guess you can say I had to find some balance!
Fast forward and I am still doing what I love! My passion for fitness has helped me develop efficient, effective training methods to work with juggling family life, running a business, and my overall busy lifestyle. If I can make the time for my health, I know that you can too! I’m excited to share my training style with you and show you that you CAN effectively train without spending hours in the gym!
